Equine photography Services - Good things to know!

When will the show be posted?

It will usually take 2-4 days. Providing event photography images only starts ringside at the horse show. There is a lot of work that goes on behind the scenes to bring you fabulous images. Images are uploaded, labeled, culled to only show you your good moments, lightly edited, resized, sorted and finally posted online for your viewing - so it may take a few days for your show to post. 

SMALL PERSONAL DIGITAL WEB FILES (1024X683px) - usually sent to you within one week. Professionally edited - perfect for online sharing and emails. Will have a small signature in the righthand corner of the image. Not recommended for printing.

SQUARE PERSONAL DIGITAL WEB FILES (1080x1080px) will usually be sent to you within one week. Professionally edited, they are perfect for online and email sharing. They will have a small signature in the righthand corner of the image. NOT recommended for printing. 

MEDIUM PERSONAL DIGITAL FILES (1800X1200px) will take 1-3 weeks. professionally edited, these will be great for sharing but can also be used for printing. Recommended for 4x6 or 5x7s prints. So, yes - go ahead and print!

LARGE PERSONAL DIGITAL FILES (3600X2400px) will take 1-3 weeks. Perfect for printing 8x10s and sometimes larger. If you want to moderately crop in, these files are for you.  Professionally edited and optimized for large prints. So, yes - go ahead and print!

PRINT ORDERS will take 2-6 weeks though at the height of the show season, it may take longer, depending on which shipping option you choose.  Each and every image is individually prepared. We want your horse photos to be special! 

Is there a difference between indoor and outdoor imagery?

Yes. Indoor equine photography will usually be shot without flash. Due to reduced and often less than ideal lighting, the action shots will tend to have a grainier quality due to decreased available light coupled by the need to still shoot at an adequate shutter speed to capture the fast action. The better the light and the closer the jump, the better and cleaner the image will be. 

Outdoor images photographed with more light/direct sunlight will be crisper, cleaner, brighter and more colorful than those captured on overcast, cloudy or darker days. We photograph in pretty much all available conditions since you ride in varying conditions and we do our best to capture the best of you and your horse whenever you show.

Do you do any additional editing?

Yes, we do. Small digital files will receive basic editing. All prints, medium digital files and large digital files will receive additional editing. All files are color-corrected, straightened and cropped based on the ordered products. Adjustments are made to selectively fine tune the contrast and brightness of the image and when possible and potentially enhancing to the final image, distracting background elements are often minimized and/or removed. Whenever we can clean a background and still have it look natural, we will do so. 

Can I use the images for advertising?

Personal Image Downloads and prints are intended for personal use only. You can post them on Facebook or on your personal website (always with proper credit to Naimark Photography). Do not remove or crop off the signature/photo credit.

Copying/downloading a Naimark Photography image for use in an article or for advertising without contacting us, receiving written permission and paying any applicable fees is not allowed. Unauthorized use of Naimark Photography images will be billed at a minimum of triple the usual fee and may be substantially more, based on usage and our discretion. 

Can I right-click/copy proofs/Naimark imagery?

No. Absolutely not. The images posted on this website are for viewing purposes only on this website and used as a reference for purchase. It is a direct violation of U.S. Federal copyright laws to use the proof images in any way for any use at any time. If you like the image, please purchase it. If you are found in violation of this U.S. Federal law and you've copied/printed/shared the proof image online or in any way, you will be invoiced for a minimum of triple the usual amount (may be substantially more) and you are required to remove the stolen image(s).

Why does it take a while for proofs to show up online?

It is not unusual for our team to shoot many thousands of images per day. If we are shooting multiple rings, this number can become substantially larger. They do not all make it to the website but they do need to be gone through, lightly edited, culled and uploaded. This is done so you have a general idea of how the images will look when purchased and it also makes it possible for you to buy and receive great digital files  that you can share and post with your family, friends and colleagues.
